We'd love to hear from you if you are:
- aged 18 or over
- having periods
- living in England, Wales or Scotland
- no history of reproductive cancer
You don't need to have heavy periods to take part. We also need people with typical periods for comparison.
Participant information sheet
The Participant Information Sheet (PIS) explains why we’re doing BLEEDS, what taking part involves, and what happens to your samples and data. Please take your time to read the PIS relevant to the samples you would like to donate, and talk to others if you’d like to.
To donate a biopsy, you must live near, or be willing to travel to, Cambridge University Hospitals.

This short animated video explains the study with a voiceover. It’s here to help you understand the PIS, not replace it.

A member of one of the consenting teams will go through the consent form with you during your appointment, but here’s a look at what you will need to sign.
